凭借全新和领先的设备，学生们能够对其进行充分利用并获得宝贵 的实践经验。课程中包括第三学年为期四个月的工作实习。AIT强调实践发展，使学生在完成学位课程后就具备了进入体育科学就业的技能。 

完成学位课程后学生所具备技能，既可以满足精英运动员的需求，也可以自如应对普通人的健康和健身要求。该课程将深入涉猎运动性能测试、营养、康复期运动疗法、提高运动性能的药物分析技术和生物力学等领域。在四年的时间里，学生将学习人体如何运作，从心脏的生理学，到整体身体生理系统的运作和交互互动。

AIT’s moern state-of-the-art sports science equipment an facilities makes stuying sports science at Athlone ifferent from other colleges. With bran new equipment AIT provies stuents with the opportunity to gain practical experience with the most up-to-ate sports science equipment an technology. AIT places an emphasis on practical evelopment equipping stuents with the skills to enter sports science employment once they complete the egree programme. This inclues a four month work placement on Year 3 of the programme. 

This four-year BSc ﹙Hons﹚ in Sports Science with Exercise Physiology will equip stuents with the necessary skills to meet the nees of elite athletes, as well as the health an fitness requirements of the general population. The egree combines areas such as performance testing, nutrition, exercise therapy for recovery, analytical techniques use for screening performance-enhancing rugs, an biomechanics. Over the course of four years, you will learn how the human boy operates, from the physiology of the heart, to the operation an interaction of the respiratory, nervous, urinary an reprouctive systems.

You will evelop expertise in testing an analysing athletes’ performance, incluing the physiology of the high performance athlete in a state-of-the-art sports science laboratory ﹙featuring treamills, exercise bikes esigne for resistance training, ergometers, Douglas bags an a gas analysis system, a bloo lactate analyzer, force ynamometer for vertical jumping/gait analysis an sphygmomanometers﹚.
