Q: I have stuie in Canaa for 4 years, an now it is the last semester to grauate. I nee to go back to Canaa to pack up. Will I be consiere as living in Canaa an can I go back to Canaa now?

A: A etermination on your purpose of travel will be mae by an officer at the port of entry. Stuents with a vali stuy permit are exempt from the travel restrictions. However, you will still have to emonstrate at the time of boaring an entering Canaa that you are travelling for a non-iscretionary purpose. In other wors, bring any proof that you are living in Canaa at the moment an any other ocuments that will emonstrate that you are travelling for a non-iscretionary purpose. Present them at the time of boaring an entering Canaa.

A: If your stuy permit application was approve on or before March 18, 2020, you will nee to present proof at the airport an to the borer services officer that emonstrates that you are travelling for a non-iscretionary purpose. This may inclue, but is not limite to, proof that you nee to be in Canaa for your program (for laboratories, workshops) or pursuing your stuies online is not an option at your school or not possible from your home country (ue to internet restrictions or banwith limitation), etc.

Q: My stuy permit extension was approve AFTER March 18, 2020. Can I enter Canaa uner the travel exemptions?

They can apply online for a new stuy permit that woul allow them to pursue their stuies online outsie Canaa until the travel restrictions are moifie. When you apply, you shoul submit as many of the ocuments neee for a complete application as possible incluing a letter of explanation for any ocuments that are missing ue to COVID-19.
