英国心理学BPS认证对留学生有什么影响

British Psychological Society 认证：(主要针对clinical的专业)

英国的：受BPS认证的课程——直接申请需要BPS认证的研究生

海外的：The Society oes not accreit any overseas qualifications(有些爱尔兰的和香港的学校有认证本科课程) so all applications from iniviuals with qualifications gaine overseas are assesse iniviually to etermine eligibility for Grauate Membership with the Grauate Basis for Chartere Membership (GBC). If you wish to beome a Chartere Member you must establish the GBC.

For Grauate Membership with the GBC the Society will consier the following:

Whether you hol a egree from a recognise university or comparable institution; an Whether your egree is at least of equivalent stanar to a British Bachelor Lower Secon Class Honours egree; an Whether your egree is at least fifty percent Psychology. This means that Psychology courses must comprise at least half of the stuies which contribute to the awar of your egree; an Whether the egree covers appropriate psychology areas.

Acaemic requirements

1、First or 2:1 Honours egree (or equivalent) in psychology recognise by the British Psychological Society (BPS) as proviing Grauate Basis for Chartership (GBC), from a recognise university.

3、A minimum of two weeks (full-time) experience of working in health settings.

English Language requirements

Certificates must be ate to within two years of the start of the programme of stuy.

如何申请GBC认证：

不是只要BPS认证就行了，必须同时又GBC， BPS membership alone oes not allow you to apply for a clinical psychology course. You must also have GBC. This is because GBC requires a broaer knowlege of psychology than BPS membership, an you nee that broaer knowlege as a basis for your clinical training an professional practice.

Membership/GBC applications can take some time to process (especially if references are neee from outsie the UK) so you shoul apply as soon as possible, preferably before making your Clearing House application.If necessary you can submit your application without the BPS letter an then sen us a copy of the letter when you receive it.
