卡尔顿大学 ﹙carleton university﹚，又译卡尔登大学，是一所位于加拿大安大略省渥太华的综合性大学。学校于1942年创立，当时名为卡尔顿学院。大学名称是由安大略省卡尔顿郡命名，包括渥太华市所在地，已合并到城市中。卡尔顿郡则命名自guy carleton，是英属北美洲早期的总督。学校早期没有固定的校区，多半租借课室来办课，1946年，卡尔顿学院迁往前渥太华女子学院旧址 - glebe区，1952－1953年取得现址使用权。卡尔顿大学在1946年正式颁发第一个学位，分别为新闻学与公共行政学。

现今，卡尔顿大学是一所综合性大学，提供超过65个科系，如新闻系、电影学系、大众传播学系、电脑工程学系、生化系、语言学系、商学院、建筑系等。目前任职的教授与讲师约有2,000人，学生人数约莫23,000人，在这其中有来自约147个国家的国际学生，以及交换教授。卡尔顿大学提供普通学士学位、荣誉学士学位、硕士学位和博士学位。每年卡尔顿大学在加拿大macleans杂志，综合性大学排名里里保持在前八名以内，近年来常跻身前五。
