申硕申博如何找导师要推荐信

如何选择推荐信老师：

️选对导师是成功的一半申博推荐信尽量选择学术界的教授，比如自己的本科科研导师，任课教授（有科研的优先），然后最好和任课老师保持联系，上课的时候积极回答问题/去office hour刷脸，不要找只是成绩好但是没互动的老师！也不要盲目找没有交集的系里的大牛导师！如果熟悉的教授实在不够的话，可以选择实验室直接带自己的博士博后，或者实习的时候同方向的mentor！

申研的同学可以选择学校老师或者实习公司的老板。

要推荐信的时间线：

大二大三有意在自己擅长的课上刷刷脸，课后逢年过节给教授发邮件保持联系；

申请季的10月份给导师发邮件要推荐信；

以下模版针对科研导师和关系好的任课教授，仅供参考主题：

Letters of Recommendation for Graduate School Application

正文：Dear Professor XXX,

This is (自己的名字), one of the students from your [XXX course/Research lab]. I am currently working on my graduate school application for the (XXX项目) program, and I wonder if you are willing to offer a letter of recommendation.

If you have time, I am willing to share my personal statement or research interest, school choice and my resume with you, and discuss my school choices with you.

Thank you for your time and support.

• 简历

• 本科成绩单

• 个人陈述 （非最终版，意思到了即可）

• 选校名单

·导师有空的话可以10月底和11上旬面谈，讨论一下选校的建议

·11月底的时候，进入申请系统填上推荐老师的姓名和邮箱，系统自动给老师发提交推荐信的链接

一定要waive看推荐信的权利（国外的老师非常在意）！

尽可能一口气发完，这样比较方便老师回头来查找！

链接发完后，给老师发一封感谢邮件，附上最终选校列表，供老师查漏补缺！

最后决定好去哪里读博的时候，也给老师发一封报去向+感谢邮件，做到善始善终：

Dear Professor XXX:

I hope you are doing well. I would like to thank you for the recommendation letter you sent in regard to my graduate school application. A reference from a member of the academic community like you was hugely advantageous and paved the way for my successful interviews. I am truly grateful to have your assistance which helps me to get accepted into multiple PhD programs.

You will be happy to learn that I have decided to join the (XXX项目) program at (XXX学校). My plan is to continue (XXX方向) research under the supervision of (未来PI). I really appreciate those skills to [interpret spectra learned in your course(上课学过的技能)/research experience gained in your lab(实验室攒的经验)], and I think they will be very useful in my graduate studies.
