短文是让招生官更好的了解你，所以一定要认真的填写。以斯坦佛为例，一共是三篇小短文和一篇大短文。

Caniates respon to all three essay topics. (250 wor limit for each essay.) 　　

1.Stanfor stuents possess an intellectual vitality. Reflect on an iea or experience that has been important to your intellectual evelopment. 　　

2.Virtually all of Stanfor’s unergrauates live on campus. Write a note to your future roommate that reveals something about you or that will help your roommate—an us—know you better.

4.Describe a place or environment where you are perfectly content. What o you o or experience there, an why is it meaningful to you? 　　

5.Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal, that marke your transition from chilhoo to aulthoo within your culture, community, or family.
