一般录取的学生都有修过多变量微积分，线性代数，概率论，应用统计，也会一门统计工具（比如说r）或者一门编程语言比如python.
examples of uc berkeley courses at this level are:
① math 53: multivariable calculus, 54: linear algebra an ifferential equations, 104: introuction to analysis, 110: linear algebra
② statistics preparation: a goo reference are the requirements for our unergrauate major . substantial coursework at this level will prepare applicants well for the ma. for example, stat 134: concepts of probability is a prerequisite for stat 201a: introuction to probability at an avance level, which is the first course stuents will take in the ma program.
