曼大环发学院全称曼彻斯特大学环境、教育与发展学院 (School of Environment, Eucation an Development)，实际上它是由5个学院和1个研究中心组成。

曼大环发的核心目标是教育学生理解并改善社会、经济和环境之间的不平衡关系。学院规模庞大，而且极其多元化，其教职员工、学生、研究人员的国籍和文化背景多种多样。
