Requirements

• Applicants who nee a visa/ entry permit to stuy in Hong Kong will be consiere as international stuents.
• Mainlan China stuents, who are current Gaokao caniates ( 应届高考生 ), are not eligible to apply through this Scheme an their applications will not be accepte. They must apply through the National Colleges an Universities Enrolment System ( 全国普通高校统一招生计划 ) (For etails, please refer to the recruitment section for Mainlan China Stuents ).
• Caniates from Mainlan China who will not take Gaokao in 2018 are eligible to apply through this Scheme if they are currently pursuing or have complete an overseas curriculum (e.g. GCE-AL/ International-AL, IB Diploma, high school iploma plus SAT an SAT Subject Tests/ AP tests in USA) leaing to an overseas qualification which qualifies them for amission to a university in the country/region where such qualification is originate.

General Requirement

You are eligible to apply for amission if, by 1 September of the year in which amission is sought, you possess any of the following qualifications:

1. GCE-AL/International-AL/IB/Other high school qualifications

GCE-AL/International-AL: 3AL/ 2AL+2AS in one sitting (All graes must be obtaine from examinations taken within a twelve-month perio.)

International Baccalaureate Diploma (for preferre subject requirements of the programmes, please click here )

A recognise non-local qualification which qualifies them for amission to a university in the country/region where such qualification is originate (e.g. high school iploma plus SAT/ ACT an SAT Subject Tests/ AP Tests in USA, UEC/ STPM in Malaysia, ATAR in Australia, OSSD/ BC iploma in Canaa, GSAT/AST in Taiwan, AISSCE (CBSE)/ ISC in Inia, SMA in Inonesia, etc.)

2. Post-seconary qualifications

Complete at least one year of unergrauate stuy at a recognise university

Complete at least one year of stuy leaing to the qualification of associate egree/higher iploma or its equivalent

3. Mature Applicants

Mature persons age 23 or above on 1 September in the year in which amission is sought, provie they are able to show either by publication or by other acceptable evience that they have achieve sufficient competence in their chosen fiel of stuy to justify amission; or have shown exceptional ability in appropriate acaemic or professional fiels.

4. Exceptional Achievements

Have other exceptional achievements which merit amission.

Language Requirements

Applicants shoul have attaine an acceptable level of proficiency in the English language. Below are the minimum require scores or graes for some of the more common acceptable examinations. Applicants shoul have attaine one of the following qualifications an the corresponing minimum attainments to be consiere for amission to the University.

• Singapore GCE A-Level H1 General Paper: C
• Taiwan GSAT ( 學測 ) / AST ( 指考 ) English: Top 13% of the cohort

Selection

Applicants will be consiere on the basis of their eucation backgroun an acaemic achievements. If they are invite to atten an interview, their performance at the interview will also be taken into consieration.

Amission with Avance Staning

Applicants who meet specific requirements as stipulate by the University for particular qualifications (incluing GCE-AL/International-AL, IB, Cambrige Pre-U, HKALE, associate egree/higher iploma) may apply for “Amission with Avance Staning”. The minimum number of units for grauation for stuents amitte with Avance Staning may be reuce by up to 24 (normative perio of stuy may be reuce by up to one year).
