与U.S.News的排名不同，U.S.News注重的是学校学术声誉，而《普林斯顿评论》更关注学生的体验和和真实感受。

今年《普林斯顿评论》对385所美国大学的14万在校学生进行了调查，平均每所大学调查学生人数为359名，每名学生需回答80多个问题，最终得出了62份榜单，每份榜单中列举了排名最高的20所学校。
