The mile 50% range for GPA of the incoming class was 3.39-3.79 on a 4.0 scale. Keep in min, though, that the amissions committee is much more intereste in the etails of your transcript than in the total GPA. Weak graes in your freshman year, or in an unrelate class (like Chemistry, for example), will not greatly affect your chances for amission. However, a weak grae in a political science or economics course can affect your competitiveness even if the overall GPA appears to be goo.

TOEFL

/IELTS 内容：学院要求

SAIS accepts TOEFL an IELTS. A score of at least 100 on the TOEFL Internet-base exam (600 on the paper base) or 7 on the IELTS is require for amission. If a caniate takes the Cambrige test, a passing grae is require for amission. The SAIS D.C. TOEFL coe is 5610-0000.

Amitte stuents who score between 100 an 109 in the internet-base TOEFL (600-636 in the paper-base version) or 7 in the IELTS exams, an whose GRE Analytical Writing Score level is 4.5 or lower are require to atten the SAIS preterm program in English, which starts in late July.

Stuents in the above category with GRE Analytical Writing Scores of 4 or lower are not only require to take the SAIS pre-term English course, but are also strongly avise to atten the separate SAIS summer ESL course beginning in June.

SAIS has no minimum GRE or GMAT score. However, in recent years the mile 50% GRE verbal score range has been 158-165 (79th - 96th percentile) an the mile 50% GRE quantitative score range has been 154 - 161 (67th - 86th percentile). For the GMAT verbal score, the mile 50% has been in the 34-42 range, an the GMAT quantitative score has been in 38-49 range.

A TOEFL score of at least 600 for the paper-base exam, 250 for the computer-base exam or 100 for the internet-base exam is require of all applicants whose native language is not English. Stuents who choose to submit the IELTS exam results must meet a minimum of 7.0. The TOEFL/IELTS test requirement may be waive for iniviuals who have receive their unergrauate egree from an institution where English is the meium of instruction.
