宾西法尼亚州的大学简介

宾州主要工业部门有冶金、纺织、化工、机械制造、金属加工、造船、电子、电气等，其中钢铁工业尤为突出，钢产量占全国的1/4左右。匹兹堡是全国最大的钢铁工业中心，费城是美国第四大城市和全州最大的工业中心。煤蕴藏丰富，产量仅次于西弗吉尼亚州居全国第二位，宾州东北部是美国无烟煤的主要产地。农业土地面积占州面积的30%。乳制品收入占农业收入的50%，牛奶是主要农产品，集中于州东北部。肉牛业分布于西南部。种植业主要有玉米、冬小麦 、烟草 、马铃薯等，蘑菇生产闻名全国，经济作物有烟草和水果等。
