1) 学生不能早于I-20上 开课日期前30天入境,也不能晚于开课日入境。请参考后期事项里提到的日期,合理安排入境时间。

学校要求学生在SOAR前必须完成如下:
1)完成AP/IB等的官方送分,以及最终成绩单的寄送
2)注册完成数学及英语分级测试等等(具体见分级测试具体条目描述)

Transfer stuentsare informe which test(s) they are require to take via email from the Office of Amissions. Information about which test(s) you nee to take is also available at the bottom of your Transfer Creit Evaluation, locate in your Stuent Center.转学生会收到分级测试的邮件,你也可以进入stuent center下的转学分评估下查看。
3) 查看SOAR信息,并决定你到校后的咨询小组:
进入链接查看SOAR详情:Review the content liste on the SOAR Program Overview page.
进入链接查看你应该选择哪个小组,通常是按照你所在学院进行划分:Stuents shoul etermine which avising group they will avise with at SOAR. Review the information provie by the Office of Unergrauate Avising at avising.wisc.eu .
学生完成以上3个步骤,就可以注册SOAR了。
注册步骤如下:
4)注册链接: https://register.soar.wisc.eu/stuents/ 选择你想参加的session。后边学校还会将确认信息发到你的后缀邮箱,请务必查看并及时回复确认。请保存好你的SOAR确认页面。
5)如果需要在SOAR期间住宿,需要自行寻找校外住宿资源,学校不提供住宿服务:

6)在实地参加SOAR之前,学生还必须完成在线的moule学习才行,请在SOAR开始前完成。另外SOAR的费用会在开学前两周左右更新到你的账单中。
· 完成在线的moule学习:Complete the Preparing for SOAR moule in MyUW. This must be complete prior to arriving at SOAR.
· Pay any outstaning SOAR fees .
· 如何查看SOAR费用及缴费。Your SOAR fees will be bille approximately two weeks prior to your attenance at SOAR. You will receive an email from soar@stuentlife.wisc.eu with payment instructions. No payment is mae at the time you make your reservation. You will see your finalize invoice by logging into the reservation system two weeks before your SOAR session. You will then be able to make your payment online through a secure site; for security, the SOAR office is not able to take payments over the phone.

学校要求学生必须在SOAR前完成分级考试!
1) 所有大一新生都必须完成数学和英语测试mathematics an English (or English as a Secon Language);本转生需要等学校的通知,学校在完成你的转学分评估后决定你应该参加哪些分级考试,请务必查看你的校园邮箱!
2) 对于被要求提供托福成绩的国际生需要参加the English as a Secon Language Assessment Test而不是English Placement Test,请你在注册前再次跟考试中心核实你需要参加哪种英语测试!

注册时可以选择在美国参加考试,也可以在中国选择考点,具体的考点请学生自行点击链接查看。
4)学生需要尽快注册考试,否则无法注册orientation!!
Both freshmen an transfer stuents will be notifie via email of their require placement tests. All freshman stuents are require to take tests in mathematics an English (or English as a Secon Language), regarless of previous coursework, AP, or IB creit. Your scores will be use by your acaemic avisor to accurately place you in a variety of courses. Transfer stuents may be aske to take placement tests, epenent upon the university creit being transferre in.
Please note that stuents who were require to submit a TOEFL with their application will be aske to take the English as a Secon Language Assessment Test instea of the UW English Placement Test. Refer to your placement test email to confirm which test you have been aske to take.
For more information about testing, refer to the Testing an Evaluation Services website for incoming UW–Maison stuents. You must register for placement testing before selecting a SOAR ate.

因为住宿系统不可逆,学生需要自行完成住宿申请。请进入住宿系统完成,刷卡时注意截图,以便出现问题时能与学校及时沟通。
Ø 临时住宿:学生如果在住宿开放前需要临时住宿,需要单独申请。另外此单独住宿必须是你已经获得了校内住宿分配的前提下才能申请。不住校内的学生无法申请该类型的住宿。

Transitional Housing
For stuents arriving to campus before resience hall move-in, transitional housing is available at a per-ay cost. Stuents intereste in staying in transitional housing must have a University Housing contract for fall. *校外住宿:
外联不负责校外住宿申请,请学生自行查看。
学校对住校生有体检疫苗要求:4针乙肝HepB及2针流脑疫苗。疫苗必须在入住前打完。学校还有其他strongly recommene疫苗,学生可以自行决定是否接种。
体检疫苗需要上传系统MyUHS : https://myuhs.uhs.wisc.eu/login_ualauthentication.aspx
疫苗一旦提交,将无法再更改,请填写时一定要注意再三核实!
请学生到专门做出国体检的地方,按照上方要求接种,医生到时候会指导学生完成体检。同时请携带从小到大的疫苗记录,以便医生转签到小黄本。

2) 学生还需要登录系统在线填写以下四个表格(信息一旦提交便不能更改,请学生认真填写)
系统连接: https://myuhs.uhs.wisc.eu/login_ualauthentication.aspx (进去之后用自己的ID和密码登录,点击左边列表的form。在form完成后还需要提交你的疫苗证明记录到health recor)
*注意事项:
1) 学校的疫苗表可能出现更新的情况。以往出现过学生体检已经完成,学校才更新了表格的案例。建议学生临近体检前,在后期事项“体检/疫苗”处的链接上下载相关表格(如果录取包裹中有体检原件除外),以免因为过早下载表格导致学校还未做更新,出现学生需要重新体检的问题。同时,由于学校变更信息的不及时性给学生带来的不便,还请学生理解与配合,严格按照学校的要求操作,以免耽误自己入学。
2) 请学生自行填写疫苗表上的个人信息部分,体检时务必把表交给医生,由医生填写相关部分,最后须由医生签字、体检中心盖章。此表格必须填写齐全。
3) 请学生注意:疫苗表上凡是写着“Require”、“Manatory”的地方就是要求必做、必填的项。
4) 体检完毕后,请学生务必保存好所有证明原件:学校的疫苗表、小红本、小黄本、其他原件(如:检测/化验报告单等)。离境时请学生务必随身携带这些证明原件,以备不时之需,确保万无一失。

学校不提供接机,学生需要自行到达,以下为推荐机场:
1、Dane County Regional Airport-in Maison
是一个小机场,距离学校8公里,打车大概需要25美金。
2、General Mitchell International Airport -in Milwaukee
威斯康辛最大的机场,距离学校1.5小时的车程。机场有Bager Coach。
3、Chicago O’Hare International Airport-in Chicago
离学校有点远,机票相对较便宜。Van Galer Bus可以从机场到学校,需要自行预定。
There are several airports with easy access to Maison, Wisconsin.
MSN – Dane County Regional Airport in Maison, WI – A small airport locate about 5 miles (8km) from UW-Maison. Taxi ries from the MSN airport to campus cost approximately $25 one way. There is a taxi waiting area outsie of baggage claim.
MKE – General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, WI – The largest airport in Wisconsin, an is only an hour an a half away from campus. Bager Coaches offers aily express service from General Mitchell Airport in Milwaukee to Maison.
ORD – Chicago O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, IL – While much further from UW-Maison, flights to this airport are often much less expensive. The * Van Galer bus service offers aily buses between the airport an UW-Maison. For assistance getting from the international terminal to the Van Galer bus, click on this helpful GUIDE .
