学生在创业经商的过程中，遇到了挑战，需要精确地分析客户需求并精准投放广告宣传。这就需要能够自动挖掘信息的系统并做出及时反馈的机制。受此启发，学生决定要申请BA专业，并选择Customer Analytics track进行深造。通过学习如何分析数据并研究市场需求，为实现以后的职业目标做准备。

这里解释了下学生由于创业而延期毕业，并且GPA较低的情况。同时，由于忙于创业，虽然影响了学术成绩，但是实践的过程使学生从3个方面加深了对商业的理解。这也在一定程度上弥补了他商业背景知识和低GPA的弱势。

申请总结

这位学生的申请过程有一些小的波折，主要体现在学生本身的学术背景不占优势，内心比较自卑，而且跟催阶段前期连续拒录几所学校，WUSTL又被放进了waitlist，这些都加剧了学生的焦虑情绪。

收到waitlist通知后，文案老师及时指导学生准备loveletter素材。其中，值得一提的是，在操作loveletter时，文案老师着重突出学生和BA专业相关的经历，包括Coursera上的编程网课，以及利用数据分析帮助健身房优化宣传策略提升业绩的经历。这些内容都体现了学生虽然是跨专业申请，但是对BA专业的真实的热情和专业实力。

发出loveletter后，学校老师很快就回复邮件预约meeting。在辅导学生面试时，文案老师指导学生将自己的经历梳理下，做到能够跟老师侃侃而谈和互动交流，同时也鼓励学生放松心态不要过度焦虑，因为这种meeting不是选拔性的考核，而是“聊聊天”的形式，所以就积极准备放平心态就好。

Meeting结束后，文案老师主动给学校老师发了thanks letter，表达谢意，从而加深学校老师对学生的印象。老师也回复得很积极。最终，我们成功拿到了该校的offer，圆了学生的名校梦。

从这个案子的经历中，我总结的经验是，面对学校给出的一丝丝积极信号，比如waitlist相对于直接拒录就是比较积极的信号，即使学生可能有焦虑的心态，但是文案老师要保持理智和专业的态度，尽全力帮学生争取理想的结果。此外，在面对学生的条件不够有优势时，文案老师要做到“扬长避短”和“化腐朽为神奇”，尽量挖掘并放大学生的优势。比如学生跨专业申请且GPA不高，那么我们就在文书中集中体现学生的创业经历和对商业的理解。学生本科专业是工科，有比较丰富的编程经历，这也是学习BA专业所需要的重要能力，那么文案老师就更多地展现其在编程方面的优势，体现学生在专业方面做好的充分准备。
