今天我要给大家介绍一个新兴专业 -tesol 专业，即 teaching english to speakers of other languages ，也就是英语非母语教学。

通俗的说，你选了这个专业就得用英文给老外（母语不是英语的人）授课了！

tesol 是“ teaching english to speakers of other languages ” 的缩写，中文翻译是“对外英语教学” 。作为证书课程来学习， tesol 证书课程内容已经被国际上 100 多个国家的 8000 多所学校认可。

tesol 证书持有者可以在全球范围内从事英语作为第二外语教学 ﹙esl ， english as a secon language﹚ ，其含金量和认可度很大，可以作为国际公认的国际英语教师资格证书和英语教学行业职业资格的权威国际证明。

申请有什么要求 ?

1 、这个专业申请来说相对比较容易。对相关专业背景一般没有特殊的要求，雅思成绩要求也相对比较低，一般 6.5 分 ﹙ 小分 6 分 ﹚ 就可以啦，而且学费相对便宜一些。
